Krympning uppst\u00e5r eftersom<br \/>\npolymerens densitet varierar fr\u00e5n bearbetningstemperaturen till den omgivande temperaturen<br \/>\n(se Specifik volym (pvT-diagram)). Vid formsprutning skapar variationen i krympning b\u00e5de globalt och genom en detaljs tv\u00e4rsnitt inre sp\u00e4nningar. Dessa s.k. restsp\u00e4nningar (se Restsp\u00e4nning) p\u00e5verkar detaljen p\u00e5 samma s\u00e4tt som yttre p\u00e5k\u00e4nningar. Om de restsp\u00e4nningar som induceras under gjutningen \u00e4r h\u00f6ga<br \/>\ntillr\u00e4ckligt f\u00f6r att \u00f6vervinna detaljens strukturella integritet, kommer detaljen att skeva vid utskjutning<br \/>\nfr\u00e5n gjutformen eller spricka med extern servicebelastning.<\/p>\n<h2>Krympning<\/h2>\n<p>Krympningen av gjutna plastdelar kan vara s\u00e5 mycket som 20 volymprocent, m\u00e4tt vid bearbetningstemperaturen och den omgivande temperaturen. Kristallina och halvkristallina material \u00e4r s\u00e4rskilt utsatta f\u00f6r termisk krympning, medan amorfa material tenderar att krympa mindre. N\u00e4r kristallina material kyls under sin \u00f6verg\u00e5ngstemperatur ordnar sig molekylerna p\u00e5 ett mer ordnat s\u00e4tt och bildar kristalliter. \u00c5 andra sidan f\u00f6r\u00e4ndras inte mikrostrukturen hos amorfa material i och med fasf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringen. Denna skillnad leder till att kristallina och semikristallina material har en st\u00f6rre skillnad i specifik volym ( ) mellan sm\u00e4ltfasen och den fasta (kristallina) fasen. Detta illustreras i figur 1 nedan. Observera att den specifika volymen minskar n\u00e4r trycket \u00f6kar.<\/p>\n<h3>Orsaker till \u00f6verdriven krympning av delar<\/h3>\n<p>\u00d6verdriven krympning, ut\u00f6ver den acceptabla niv\u00e5n, kan orsakas av f\u00f6ljande faktorer. F\u00f6rh\u00e5llandet mellan krympning och flera bearbetningsparametrar och detaljtjocklek visas schematiskt i figur 2.<\/p>\n<p>- l\u00e5gt insprutningstryck<br \/>\n- kort f\u00f6rvaringstid eller kyltid f\u00f6r f\u00f6rpackningen<br \/>\n- h\u00f6g sm\u00e4lttemperatur<br \/>\n- h\u00f6g formtemperatur<br \/>\n- l\u00e5gt h\u00e5lltryck.<\/p>\n<h3>Problem orsakade av krympning av delar<\/h3>\n<p>Okompenserad volymetrisk krympning leder till antingen sjunkm\u00e4rken eller h\u00e5lrum i formgjutningens inre. Att kontrollera delens krympning \u00e4r viktigt vid utformningen av delar, formar och processer, s\u00e4rskilt i applikationer som kr\u00e4ver sn\u00e4va toleranser. Krympning som leder till f\u00f6rs\u00e4nkningar eller h\u00e5lrum kan minskas eller elimineras genom att packa h\u00e5lrummet efter fyllning. Formkonstruktionen b\u00f6r ocks\u00e5 ta h\u00e4nsyn till krympning f\u00f6r att \u00f6verensst\u00e4mma med detaljens dimension.
