China's staalindustrie gaat zwaardere tijden tegemoet in 2011<\/h2>\n
BEIJING, 16 februari (Xinhua) - Chinese staalbedrijven zullen dit jaar onder druk komen te staan nu de regering de economie herstructureert en de concurrentie op de wereldmarkt toeneemt, aldus een woensdag gepubliceerd rapport van het ministerie van Industrie en Informatietechnologie (MIIT).<\/p>\n
China produceerde vorig jaar 626,65 miljoen ton ruw staal, een stijging van 9,3 procent ten opzichte van 2009. De stijging was 4,2 procentpunt lager dan in 2009, aldus het rapport.<\/p>\n
Het ministerie voorspelde echter dat de staalproductie dit jaar met slechts 5% zou stijgen tot 660 miljoen ton, omdat de regering de economie in het eerste jaar van het 12e vijfjarenprogramma van het land naar een duurzamer pad stuurt.<\/p>\n
Volgens het rapport zou de industrie meer onder druk komen te staan door eisen om energie te besparen en emissies te verminderen.<\/p>\n
China schrapte vorig jaar 44 miljoen ton verouderde ijzer- en staalproductiecapaciteit, aldus het bedrijf.<\/p>\n
De hevige internationale concurrentie zou de staalexport schaden, waarschuwde het bedrijf.<\/p>\n
De MIIT voorspelde ook dat de ijzerertsprijzen hoog zouden blijven, waardoor de kosten van staalbedrijven zouden stijgen.<\/p>\n
\"In 2011 loopt de snelle ontwikkelingsfase van China's staalindustrie ten einde\", aldus de MIIT.<\/p>\n
Het ministerie drong er bij de Chinese staalbedrijven op aan om hun inspanningen op het gebied van energie-effici\u00ebntie en emissiereductie op te voeren.<\/p>\n
In het voorstel voor de formulering van het twaalfde vijfjarenprogramma (2011-2015) voor nationale economische en sociale ontwikkeling, dat in oktober 2010 werd gepubliceerd, stond dat de belangrijkste taak van het land in de periode 2011-2015 bestond uit het versnellen van de transformatie van China's economische ontwikkelingspatroon.<\/p>\n
Hiervoor moest het land zijn economische structuur ombuigen naar een duurzaam pad dat energie-effici\u00ebnt en milieuvriendelijk was.<\/p>\n
