Den kan enten v\u00e6re flytindusert eller termisk indusert. Restspenninger p\u00e5virker en del p\u00e5 samme m\u00e5te som ytre p\u00e5f\u00f8rte spenninger. Hvis de er sterke nok til \u00e5 overvinne emnets strukturelle integritet, vil emnet vri seg ved utst\u00f8ping eller senere sprekke n\u00e5r det utsettes for ytre belastning. Restspenninger er hoved\u00e5rsaken til krymping og deformasjon. Prosessbetingelser og konstruksjonselementer som reduserer skj\u00e6rspenningen under fylling av hulrommet, vil bidra til \u00e5 redusere flytindusert restspenning. P\u00e5 samme m\u00e5te vil de som fremmer tilstrekkelig pakking og jevn formkj\u00f8ling, redusere termisk indusert restspenning. For fiberfylte materialer vil prosessbetingelser som fremmer ensartede mekaniske egenskaper, redusere varmeindusert restspenning.\u00a0<a title=\"Leverand\u00f8r av st\u00f8peformer i Kina\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20130131102842\/http:\/\/www.moldchina.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leverand\u00f8r av st\u00f8peformer i Kina<\/a><\/p>\n<h1>Str\u00f8mningsindusert restspenning<\/h1>\n<p>Langkjedede polymermolekyler i ubelastet tilstand har en tendens til \u00e5 tilpasse seg en tilfeldig spiralformet likevektstilstand ved temperaturer som er h\u00f8yere enn smeltetemperaturen (dvs. i smeltet tilstand). Under bearbeiding orienterer molekylene seg i str\u00f8mningsretningen, ettersom polymeren skj\u00e6res og forlenges. Hvis st\u00f8rkningen skjer f\u00f8r polymermolekylene er helt avslappet til likevektstilstanden, l\u00e5ses molekylorienteringen fast i<br \/>\nst\u00f8pte delen. Denne typen innfrosset spenningstilstand kalles ofte str\u00f8mningsindusert restspenning. P\u00e5 grunn av den strakte molekyl\u00e6re orienteringen i str\u00f8mningsretningen introduserer den anisotropisk, ikke-uniform krymping og mekaniske egenskaper i retningene parallelt med og vinkelrett p\u00e5 str\u00f8mningsretningen.<\/p>\n<h2>Innfrosset molekyl\u00e6r orientering<\/h2>\n<p>P\u00e5 grunn av en kombinasjon av h\u00f8y skj\u00e6rspenning og h\u00f8y avkj\u00f8lingshastighet ved siden av formveggen, er det et sterkt orientert lag som er frosset rett under deloverflaten. Dette er illustrert i figur 1. N\u00e5r en del med h\u00f8ye restspenninger (eller fastfrosset orientering) utsettes for h\u00f8y temperatur, kan det f\u00f8re til at noen av disse spenningene frigj\u00f8res. Dette resulterer vanligvis i krymping og skjevhet. Generelt er str\u00f8mningsindusert restspenning en st\u00f8rrelsesorden mindre enn den termisk induserte restspenningen.\u00a0<a title=\"Leverand\u00f8r av st\u00f8peformer i Kina\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20130131102842\/http:\/\/www.moldchina.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leverand\u00f8r av st\u00f8peformer i Kina<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>h\u00f8yere smeltetemperatur<\/li>\n<li>h\u00f8yere temperatur p\u00e5 formveggen<\/li>\n<li>lengre fyllingstid (lavere smeltehastighet)<\/li>\n<li>redusert pakningstrykk<\/li>\n<li>kortere str\u00f8mningsvei.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>\u00a0Termisk indusert restspenning<\/h1>\n<p>Termisk indusert restspenning oppst\u00e5r av f\u00f8lgende \u00e5rsaker:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Materialet krymper n\u00e5r temperaturen synker fra prosessinnstillingene til de omgivelsesforholdene som oppn\u00e5s n\u00e5r prosessen er ferdig.<\/li>\n<li>Materialelementene opplever ulike termisk-mekaniske forl\u00f8p (f.eks. ulike kj\u00f8lehastigheter og pakkingstrykk) etter hvert som materialet st\u00f8rkner fra formveggen og inn mot midten.<\/li>\n<li>Endringer i trykk, temperatur, molekyl- og fiberorientering f\u00f8rer til varierende tetthet og mekaniske egenskaper.<\/li>\n<li>Visse formbegrensninger hindrer den st\u00f8pte delen i \u00e5 krympe i de plane retningene.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Eksempel p\u00e5 fri slokking<\/h2>\n<p>Materialkrymping under spr\u00f8ytest\u00f8ping kan enkelt demonstreres med et eksempel p\u00e5 fri avkj\u00f8ling, der en del med jevn temperatur plutselig blir klemt mellom kalde formvegger. I de tidlige avkj\u00f8lingsstadiene, n\u00e5r de ytre overflatelagene avkj\u00f8les og begynner \u00e5 krympe, er hoveddelen av polymeren i den varme kjernen fortsatt smeltet og kan trekke seg sammen. Etter hvert som den indre kjernen kj\u00f8les ned, begrenses imidlertid den lokale termiske sammentrekningen av de allerede stive ytre lagene.
